Fall 2024

a bunch of knitted broomsticks

This is my favorite time of the year. The months are filled with wonderfully warm sunny days, yet the mornings can get a bit chilly. I slowly take out my knitted pieces and wear them each and every day. The colors of leaves are just spectacular, and I enjoy the precious moments of being present. I think about different knitted items that I would like to add to my wardrobe, and what I already have. I also start to think about knitted gifts and what should I create next.

I have totally missed the toy mystery KAL that I wanted to create for the last days of summer entering into the first days of fall. Life outside of my knitting bubble happened and I just didn't have enough time. At the moment I am working on a design for a third party to be published next year. Once this project is off my knitting needles, I hope to revisit my toy mystery KAL. In the meantime, there are plenty of knitting patterns that you can choose from. For example, this cute broomstick, a perfect half hour project for some leftover yarn. The pattern is available here on my blog, or anywhere my patterns are available.

Knitting Pattern for Deadline Morning Eyeball Coaster or Dishcloth

We all have those mornings, when we wake up and know that we didn't get enough sleep the night before. The reasons may vary from person to person, even from day to day....
  • Late night drinking and having too much fun with friends
  • Brand new baby in the house
  • Procrastination and leaving to do the homework at the last minute
  • Deadline at work and not enough time to finish during the workday
  • Life
For the last few weeks I had few of those days myself. Deadline knitting for a third party. A homework for my class to finish. Then one day I decided to address the issue and instead of stressing out about everything I just started to knit for fun and created the red eye/ normal eye coaster. It did not help with my deadline knitting or with finishing my homework, but I had fun knitting the coaster. And now I can pick the side that suits me and have a funky coaster to put down my first, or second, or third cup of coffee and try to deal with whatever needs to be done first.
