Behind the scene

At work
Knitting has been important part of my life for many years. Ever since I have learned - at first to crochet, thanks to my wonderful and patient grandmother, then to knit I have been enjoying the process of taking a ball of yarn and turn it into something wonderful one stitch at the time.

Internet has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to share my passion and allowed me to offer the various knitting patterns that I create.

It is a lot of work. The hours in front of computer, creating the written patterns, charts, and editing is not as enjoyable as the actual knitting. I have to admit, I really prefer to knit over the other aspects of the whole process that is the creation of a knitting pattern.

Here you can see my work in progress, unfinished sample of Polka Dot Cowl, in Knitpicks Fingering Hawthorne Kettle Dye Yarn.

This is a picture in the middle of the process. I already sent out the submission, which was accepted, the yarn was shipped, and the sample is almost finished. Now it's the time for rewriting the pattern from my notes into a word document, create the charts on chart software program, editing, and of course the photo shoot. After all of this is done, it's time for a test knit call, then more editing before the pattern is ready to be published.

Thank you for visiting.
